Reporting to the CFO, the Director will play an integral role in overseeing the entire finance, accounting and treasury function for the SFC. He or she will be in charge of the Finance Department and supervise the daily operations of a team of professionals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will, as part of his or her responsibilities be tasked with the coordination and preparation of the annual budget and financial forecast of the Commission, which will include, but not restricted to, managing and liaising all the matters in relation to finance with Government & Legislative Council. He or she will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and improvement of the SFC’s accounting, financial and internal control systems in line with prevailing accounting standards and operational requirements for financial reporting, management information, and treasury operations. He or she will also develop and review investment policies and administrative guidelines with a view of effectively managing and monitoring the investment of funds in conjunction with financial advisors and the Investment Committees.
Where required the Director may be called in upon to lead or participate in special/ad-hoc projects or any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
The Director will have a degree in accountancy or finance and an accountancy qualification. He or she should have more than 10 years of post-qualification experience and senior managerial experience at major organizations. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to make sound and consistent decisions and cultivate constructive relationships. He or she will have excellent leadership skills and a proven ability to manage and lead large teams of professional staff.
Excellent conceptual, analytical, interpersonal, and written and oral English presentation skills are required for this position.
